Tris(2,4,6-triMethyl-3-(pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)borane is an Organoboron compound, also known as pyrid-3-yl. The following is a description of the properties, uses, preparation and safety information of the compound:

-Appearance: White to light yellow crystalline or powdery solid.
-Melting point: about 160-164 ° C.

-Molecular weight: 277.19g/mol.

Use:
-As an Organoboron reagent, it is often used to catalyze hydrogen transfer reactions and other similar reactions in organic synthesis.
-Can be used in the addition reaction of aldehydes and ketones to generate the corresponding alcohols and ethers.
-It can also be used to synthesize compounds containing boron functional groups.

Preparation Method:
Tris(2,4,6-triMethyl-3-(pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)borane is prepared as follows:
1. First, the benzene borate Ester reacts with pyridine to generate [2,4, 6-trimethyl-3-(3-pyridyl) phenyl] borate ester.
2. [2,4,6-triMethyl-3-(3-pyridyl) phenyl] boronate is then reacted with lithium aluminum hydride to give Tris(2,4,6-triMethyl-3-(pyridin-3-yl)phenyl)borane.
